Coach Grant Rice - Bishop Gormanrice

Grant Rice has been the head basketball coach at Bishop Gorman for the last 9 years. He has guided the Gaels to an overall record of 231-51, 8 Sunset Southwest League Championships, 4 Sunset Regional Championships, and 4 Nevada State Championships. Since he took over the program in 2001, 25 of his basketball players have received scholarships to play at the college level.

Rice grew up in California and played high school basketball at Claremont High School. He played college basketball at UNLV. Basketball is definitely in his blood. His father was his high school coach, and his brother, Dave, is currently the Associate Head Coach at BYU.

He and his wife, Brooke, have 3 young children-Carli(7), Blake(6), and Drew(4).
