  • Momo Jones recorded 16 points as Arizona topped UCLA 78-73.
  • Jamal Olasawere put up 14 points and 15 rebounds for Long Island in win over Farleigh Dickinson 63-61.
  • Klay Thompson had 18 but Wasington State fell to Oregon State 59-55.


Thursday, March 4, 2010
  • #23 Maryland took down #4 Duke at home to share 1st place in the ACC. Greivis Vasquez led the Terps with 20 points, while Eric Hayes put up 13 and Sean Mosley had 11 points.
  • Jerome Dyson had a tough night shooting as UConn fell to Notre Dame 58-50. Dyson finished with 10 points on 2-14 shooting.
  • CJ Harris scored 12 points as Wake Forest fell to Florida State 51-47.
  • Virginita Tech beat NC State 71-59, behind 21 points from both Malcolm Delaney and Dorenzo Hudson. Jeff Allen put up 18 in the win.
  • Javorn Farrell finished with 6 points, 5 rebounds but UMass lost to LaSalle 89-78.
  • Sylven Landesberg returned to action for Virginia scoring 13 points. Mike Scott added 13 points as well. The Cavaliers fell to Boston College 68-55.

  • Virginia fell to #5 Duke 67-49, Tristan Spurlock had 5 points for the Cavaliers, who were without leading scorer Sylven Landesberg.
  • Robert Olson scored 7 points, and Shane Walker grabbed 14 points and added 5 points as Loyola beat Manhatten 71-59.
  • UConn fell to Louisville 78-76. Jersome Dyson put up 13 points and dished out 5 assists for the Huskies.
  • PJ Miller scored 13 points for NJIT as the Highlaners beat North Dakota 91-73.
  • Andre Young recorded 12 points including a tying three pointer with 30 seconds left as Clemson beat Florida State 63-60. Tanner Smith added 8 points, and Milton Jennings had 4.

  • Ralph Sampson III led all scorers with 21 points for Minnesota, but the Golden Gophers let one get away, falling to #3 Purdue 59-58.
  • Mouph Yarou grabbed 6 rebounds and added 4 points for the #8 Wildcats, in a win over South Florida 74-49. Gus Gilchrist had 5 points, 8 rebounds for the Bulls.
  • Andre Cornelius and Cam Long combined for 30 points as George Mason held on to beat Delaware 61-59.
  • Malcolm Delaney had 21 points but VT got blown out by Boston College 80-60.
  • Will Graves put up 21 points as UNC dropped to Florida State 77-67.
  • Greivis Vasquez had an impressive double-double going for 15 points, 13 assists in a huge ACC win over Clemson. Sean Mosley had the hot hand going for 20 points. Andre Young had 13 points for the Tigers, while Milton Jennings added 7.

  • Malcolm Delaney scored 31 points to help Virginia Tech improve to 14-0 at home and knock off #23 Wake Forest 87-83. Dorenzo Hudson put up 21 points, while Jeff Allen added 8. For Wake Forest CJ Harris scored 7 points in the loss.
  • George Mason fell to William and Mary 63-60. Andre Cornelius recorded 9 points and 5 assists for the Patriots.
  • Ian Hummer helped Princeton defeat Penn 58-51. Hummer added 14 points, and 6 rebounds, including 5 offensive rebounds.
  • Gus Gilchrist scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds for South Florida in a Big East win over Cincinnati.
  • Will Graves tallied 6 points, 7 rebounds but UNC fell to Georgia Tech 68-51.
  • DeShawn Sims led all scorers with 27 points and 10 rebounds as Michigan held on to beat Iowa 80-78 in OT.

 


Tuesday, February 16, 2010
  • Jerome Dyson put up 15 points and 6 assists as UConn got back on track and knocked off #3 Villanova. Jamal Coombs-McDaniel added 8 points off the bench. Mouphtaou Yarou scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for Villanova. Isaiah Armwood pitched in 3 points in 18 minutes of action.
  • Maryland rolled past Virginia 85-66, in a make up game from last week. Greivis Vasquez finished with 30 points, after scoring 25 in the first half. Eric Hayes put up 10 points, 9 assists while Landon Milbourne scored 14. For the Cavaliers Mike Scott and Jeff Jones each had 16 points, and Sylven Landesberg added 12.

 


Monday, February 15, 2010
  • Kris Joseph put up 10 points and 8 rebounds but #3 Syracuse fell to Louisville 66-60.
  • #8 Georgetown lost to Rutgers 71-68. Jason Clark scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in the loss.
  • Mike Davis added 8 points, 7 rebounds as Illinois fell to #13 Ohio State 72-53.  
  • Robert Olson scored 6 points and 4 rebounds as Loyola fell to Iona 62-70. Shane Walker pitched in 4 points, 4 rebounds for the Greyhounds.
  • UMass beat St Joes 70 -62, Javorn Farrell recorded 7 points and 5 rebounds in 29 minutes of action.
  • Ralph Sampson III(6 pts, 6 rebs) and Minnesota fell to Northwestern in OT 74-77.

  • DeShawn Sims had the hot had for Michigan scoring 27 points as the Wolverines beat Minnesota 71-63. Ralph Sampson III added 7 points and 5 rebounds for the Golden Gophers.
  • Javorn Farrell only had 2 points for UMass but dished out 4 assists and grabbed 5 rebounds in a win over Duquesne 84-80.
  • Jamal Olasewere recorded 8 points and 6 rebounds as Long Island Univ. beat Sacred Heart 81-75.
  • Momo Jones had 11 points and 6 rebounds for Arizona in a win over Oregon 70-57.

  • Kris Joseph goes for 17 points and lifts #4 Syracuse to a win over Cincinnati 71-54.
  • Maryland continues to play well as UNC continues to fall. Greivis Vasquez had the hot hand going for 26 points, 11 assists, and 5 rebounds. Eric Hayes added 16 points going 4-5 from beyond the arc as the Terps rolled 92-71. Marcus Ginyard put up 17 for the Tarheels and Will Graves had 11 points in the loss.
  • Will Alston had 8 points but Jacksonville fell to Limpscomb.
  • Shane Walker recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds for Loyola in a win over Manhattan 62-56. Robert Olson added 7 points in the win.
  • Jeremiah Rivers added 5 points and 6 rebounds but Indiana fell to Northwestern in BigTen play.

  • Maryland held on for a tough ACC road win against FSU 71-67. Greivis Vasquez led the Terps in scoring with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Eric Hayes added 12 points in the win.
  • Malcolm Delaney dropped 23 points as Virginia Tech beat UNC 74-70. Dorenzo Hudson added 17, while Jeff Allen pitched in 14 points for the Hokies. Marcus Ginyard and Will Graves combined for 10 points for the Tarheels.
  • Klay Thompson recorded 20 points for Washington State, but it was not enough as the Cougars fell to Arizona St 81-70.
  • Arizona couldn't hang on as Washington beat the Wildcats 81-75. Momo Jones paced Arizona with 14 points in 22 minutes.

  • South Florida stunned #8 Georgetown 72-64. Jason Clark contributed 7 points, 6 rebounds for the Hoyas.
  • Vanderbilt got back on track beating Miss. St 75-72. Freshman John Jenkins scored 12 points for the Commodores.
  • Isaiah Tate and Andre Cornelius each put up 8 points for George Mason, but the Patriots fell to Georgia State 61-57.
  • Virginia kept its winning ways, taking down NC State 59-47. Mike Scott led the Cavaliers with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Sylven Landesberg added 7points, 9 assists.
  • Javorn Farrell tallied 12 points, 4 assists as UMass lost to Xavier 87-79.
  • GW lost to Charlotte 72-68. Lasan Kromah added 11 points, 6 rebounds for the Colonials.
  • Mike Davis pitched in 6 points, 5 rebounds in an Illini win over Iowa.

  • #2 Villanova continues to roll, as the Wildcats beat Seton Hall 81-71. Isaiah Armwood and Mouph Yarou each added 5 rebounds and 2 points in the W.
  • Kris Joseph had the hot hand for #4 Cuse going 9-11 from the field and totaled 23 points as the Orange beat Providence 85-68.
  • DeShawn Sims held to only 4 points as Michigan fell to Northwestern 67-52.
  • Freshman CJ Harris led Wake Forest with 12 points as the Demon Deacons beat Miami 62-53.

  • Jerome Dyson led all scorers with 18 points, but UConn continues to stumble as they lost to Louisville 82-69.

  • Sylven Landesburg carried Virginia in a huge ACC road victory in the Dean Dome at UNC. Landesburg finished with 29 points as the Cavaliers whooped the Tar Heels 75-60. Mike Scott added 11 points in the win. Will Graves paced North Carolina with 15 points.
  • Jerai Grant led the Clemson Tigers with 18 points, 12 rebounds in a win over Maryland. Andre Young and Tanner Smith combined for 20 points. Young also added 7 steals, as the Tigers forced Maryland to 26 turnovers. Eric Hayes scored 11 points and Greivis Vasquez tallied 10 for the Terps.
  • It was another big night for the CapClassic trio at Virginia Tech, who combined for 57 points. Malcolm Delaney put up 16, Dorenzo Hudson had 22, and Jeff Allen added 19 as VT fell to Miami.
  • Ralph Sampson III recorded 11 points, 4 rebounds for Minnesota, but it was not enough against a hot Ohio State team.

  • Forward Ian Hummer scored 10 points in 18 minutes as Princeton rolled past Brown 63-46.
  • Will Alson added 4 points for Jacksonville in a 73-63 win over North Florida.

  • CJ Harris scored 4 points and had 2 assists in 31 minutes of action for Wake Forest, but the Demon Deacons fell to GT in ACC play.
  • It was a Cap Classic reunion as Virginia Tech took down Virginia. Malcolm Delaney capped off the night with 27 points. Dorenzo Hudson pitched in 18 for the Hokies. For the Cavaliers Mike Scott, Sylven Landesberg, and Jeff Jones combined for 51 points. Of the 147 points, 102 were scored by Cap Classic alumni.
  • Shane Walker tallied 8 points as Loyola, Md fell to Fairfield 69-73.
  • Given Kalipinde put up 15 points for Loyola Marymount in a Win over San Diego 68-65.

  • John Jenkins finished with 10 points and 3 boards as #23 Vanderbilt took down #11 Tennessee 85-76.
  • Chris Braswell scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for Charlotte in a win over #15 Temple.
  • #19 UConn fell to Providence 81-66. Jerome Dyson tallied 12 points and 3 assists in the L. Jamal Coombs McDaniel pitched in 3 points.
  • Mike Davis(11 points, 7 rebounds) and Illinois beat Penn State 77-67.
  • George Mason beat Delaware 77-66. Three Cap Classic alumni combined for 42 points in the win. (Long-18 pts, Cornelius-13 pts, Birdsong-11 pts)
  • Lasan Kromah scored 13 points in 27 minutes as GW beat Saint Louis 67-62.

  • Deshawn Sims had a chance to win the game for Michigan, but the shot rimmed out as Michigan fell to Michigan State 57-56. Sims finished with a team high 19 points.
  • Jerai Grant scored 12 points as #21 Clemson fell to Boston College 75-69. Andre Young and Tanner Smith combined for 15 points for the Tigers.
  • Maryland came out hot, shooting 51% and blew out Miami 81-59. Greivis Vasquez recorded 16 points and 9 rebounds. Sean Mosley and Eric Hayes each pitched in 10 points in the win.
  • Ralph Sampson III grabbed 7 rebounds and scored 5 points for Minnesota in a 65-61 victory over Northwestern.
  • Will Graves tallied 9 rebounds and 6 points as UNC beat NC State 77-63.

  • Syracuse came back from a 0-14 start to rock Georgetown 73-56. Kris Joseph led the Orange with 15 points in 33 minutes of action. Jason Clark scored 15 minutes for the Hoyas.

  • Blake Jolivette added 4 points, 3 rebounds in 30 minutes of action for American Univ. in a loss to Penn State.
  • Sylven Landesburg scored 10 points as UVA beat NJIT 68-37. Tristan Spurlock pitched in 6 points for the Cavaliers.
  • John Jenkins was 4-6 beyond the arc and totaled 17 points to lead Vanderbilt over Mercer 99-59.
  • MoMo Jones had 12 points for Arizona, as the Wildcats needed a three at the buzzer to beat Lipscomb 83-82.

  • #24 Clemson beat East Carolina 80-63. Andre Young scored 16, Tanner Smith put up 14, and Milton Jennings added 8 points for the Tigers.
  • CJ Harris scored 11 points in 24 minutes of action as Wake Forest beat UNC-Wilmington 80-69.
  • Ian Hummer tallied 8 points, 5 rebounds as Princeton held on to be Monmouth 46-42.

  • Mike Davis tallied 9 rebounds and 4 points for Illinois in a win over #24 Vanderbilt. John Jenkins put up 11 points for the Commodores.
  • Minnesota ran past Morgan St 94-64 last night, as Ralph Sampson III had 9 points, 7 rebounds.
  • The Patriots faught back from a 16 point deficit, but fell short 56-55 to Dayton. Cam Long scored 9 points and dished out 4 assists for George Mason. Andre Cornelius pitched in 4 points, 3 rebounds.
  • Jeremiah Rivers grabbed 5 rebounds and assisted on 4 baskets, as Indiana beat Pitt 74-64.

  • Deividas Dulkys led all scorers with 18 points, as Florida St beat Florida International 82-62.

  • John Jenkins went 4-6 from three and finished with 14 points as #24 Vanderbilt beat Chaminade 68-41.
  • Dan Werner added 6 points, 4 rebounds as Florida beat Florida State 68-52.
  • Lasan Kromah scored 9 points for George Washington in a win over Princeton 65-50. Ian Hummer pitched in 5 points for the Tigers.

  • Marcus Ginyard recorded 8 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds as #12 North Carolina beat Gardner Webb 92-73. Will Graves added 4 points for the Tar Heels.
  • Four CapClassic alum helped #19 Clemson past Winthrop 102-66. Andre Young led the Tigers with 12 points, while Jerai Grant(11pts) and Tanner Smith(10pts) both started for Clemson. Milton Jennings came off the bench and had 4 points, 4 rebounds.
  • #23 Maryland beat Chaminade 79-51 in the first round of the Maui Invitational. Sean Mosley led all scorers with 19 points. Eric Hayes(12pts) and Greivis Vasquez(6pts) each pitched in 5 assists in the win. James Padgett (8pts, 6rebs) and Cliff Tucker (7pts) contributed off the bench.
  • John Jenkins had 11 points as #24 Vanderbilt fell to Cincinnati 67-58.
  • Virginia Tech beat Campbell 71-60. Malcolm Delaney scored 15 points, Dorenzo Hudson tallied 10 points, while Jeff Allen and Erick Green each added 7 points.

  • Lamar Patterson scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds for Pittsburgh in a 71-60 win over Eastern Kentucky.
  • Mike Scott led all scorers with 17 points as Virginia beat Rider 79-46. Jeff Jones added 11 points while Sylven Landesburg pitched in 10 points.
  • Gus Gilchrist had 21 points while going 15-16 from the free throw line in a win for South Florida over Davidson 65-58.
  • Klay Thompson went crazy for Washington St, scoring 37 points on 15-20 shooting. The Cougars beat IPFW 89-70.
  • Momo Jones had 8 points, 3 assist for Arizona as the Wildcats beat Rice 66-49.

  • Patrick Behan recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds as Bucknell beat Delaware 82-66. Jawan Carter led Delaware with 17 points.
  • Loyola, Md beat UMBC 69-66 as three Cap Classic alumni saw action. Anthony Winbush put up 14 points in 30 minutes while Robert Olson and Shane Walker each added 8 and 7, respectfully.
  • Deividas Dulkys put up 13 points to lead Florida State over Stetson 80-38.
  • Ian Hummer scored 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds for Princeton in a win against Manhatten 61-54.

  • Olek Czyz scored 5 points for #8 Duke in a blowout over Charlotte 101-59.
  • Jerome Dyson went 14-15 from the charity strip for 23 points as #13 UConn beat Hofsta 76-67. Jamal Coombs-McDaniel added 2 points and 3 rebounds.
  • In 35 minutes of action Jason Clark scored 8 points as #20 Georgetown held on to beat Temple 46-45.
  • Tanner Smith and Andre Young each pitched in 9 points for #23 Clemson in a win over Liberty 79-39. Milton Jennings added 2 points and 3 rebounds in the victory.
  • Mike Davis recorded a double-double(14pts, 17rebs) in a win for #25 Illinois. The Illini beat Northern Illinois 80-61.
  • Derrick Thomas put up 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists as Drexel lost to Niagara 76-69. Austin Cooley added 6 points for Niagara.
  • Lasan Kromah led GW with 17 points in the win over Boston Univ.  69-59.
  • Malcolm Delaney(17 pts) and Jeff Allen(14 pts) paced Virginia Tech over UNC Greensboro 59-46. Dorenzo Hudson pitched in 6 points, 4 rebounds for the Hokies.
  • Maryland beat Fairfield 71-42 to improve to 2-0. Six current Terrapins played in the Capital Classic including Greivis Vasquez(7 pts, 6 asts), Eric Hayes(14 pts), Cliff Tucker(6 pts), Adrian Bowie(8 pts), Sean Mosley(13 pts, 7 rebs), and James Padgett (6 pts, 7 rebs).
  • Robert Lumpkins had 8 points, 7 rebounds for New Mexico St in a lossing effort 97-87 to New Mexico.
